Trip Description:

Trip Description: Day trip to Salt Lake in the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge (BNWR). This is one of the closest places for Houston anglers to fish for reds, specks and flounder. The lake is generally shallow in the middle with deeper areas near the Nicks Lake cut (1.3 miles East from launch), marsh entrance weir (1.5 miles to the NE from launch) and Salt Bayou (at launch area). Go to Google Earth and preview the area before the trip.
